Can you believe 2026 is just around the corner?
Today I’m diving into the one thing that changes everything: mindset.
From building my dream life through all the highs and lows - even the reinventions - one truth keeps showing up: the life you’re living 12 months from now will mirror the thoughts you choose and the beliefs you practice daily.

In this bite-sized, practical episode, I share three simple shifts you can start today:

Begin with gratitude: write three things you’re grateful for each morning to open your heart to abundance.

Catch your self-talk: when you hear “I can’t” or “I’m not ready,” pause and reframe - “I’m learning. I’m proud I showed up. Progress over perfection.”

Visualise your best self: it’s December 2026… you’ve honoured your goals, upgraded habits, and you feel proud, aligned and joyful. Borrow that version’s beliefs today.

Kristina: Hi there, and welcome back to another episode of Your Dream Life. I’m Kristina Karlsson, and I’m excited to be here. As we look ahead to 2026 - yes, it’s just around the corner - I want to talk about something that changes everything: your mindset.
This is something I often speak about on stage because it’s so important. If you change your mindset, you can change your life completely. The life you’ll be living 12 months from now will reflect the thoughts you choose, the beliefs you hold, and the mindset you carry every day.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned through building my dream life - through highs, lows, and reinventions - it’s that your mindset determines how far your dreams can go. Mindset is the lens through which you see the world. It shapes how you handle challenges, how you show up for your goals, and how you respond when things don’t go to plan.
When I was starting out, I didn’t have much money. I was homesick after moving from Sweden to Australia, and life felt uncertain. But I believed something more was possible. That belief became my foundation. Years later, when I lost everything I’d built, it was my mindset that carried me: the belief that endings can be beginnings, that we always have the power to dream again, and that every day is a chance to create a life we love.
Let’s talk about a mindset for growth and possibility. Think about 2026. Ask yourself: What mindset do I want to bring into the new year? Do I want to carry old doubts and fears, or start fresh - open, courageous, and ready for growth? A growth mindset says, “I can learn. I can change. I can start again.” A dream - life mindset says, “I’m capable and worthy. I get to design my life with intention.” Remember, you’re in the driver’s seat. You get to decide what 2026 will look and feel like for you. You don’t need validation or permission from anyone. When you carry that mindset into 2026, I have no doubt you’ll thrive.
Here are three simple ways to shift your mindset today:
- Start each day with gratitude. Write down three things you’re grateful for. Gratitude turns what you have into enough and opens your heart to abundance.
- Catch your self - talk. When you notice old limiting thoughts - “I can’t,” “I’m not ready,” “I always mess up” - pause and reframe: “I’m learning. I’m trying something new. I’m proud of myself for showing up. Progress, not perfection.”
- Visualise your best self. Close your eyes - if it’s safe - and imagine it’s December 2026. You’ve achieved the goals you set at the start of the year. You’ve changed habits that weren’t serving you. You’re surrounded by like - minded people. You feel proud, aligned, joyful, and excited. What does that version of you think and believe? Start thinking and believing those thoughts today.
Mindset isn’t a switch you flick; it’s a muscle you strengthen daily. You don’t have to be great to start - you have to start to be great.

You’re already on your way. The most powerful transformation doesn’t start in your calendar or even with your goals - it starts in your mind with one new thought: “I can create a life I love.”
