Happy Monday!

Its Kristina here. I’m so glad you’ve joined me for another episode of Monday Morning Motivation.

I want to start with a great quote from Jeff Olson, author of The Slight Edge. It is one of my all time favourite books, and I read it every year because it genuinely changed how I live my life.

“Every action that is easy to do is also easy not to do, and that’s the difference between success and failure.”

Take a moment to sit with that.

Every action that is easy to do is also easy not to do. That is where the magic and the heartbreak of life often sits.

When I first read The Slight Edge, it felt like a gentle but powerful wake up call.

Success does not come from big, dramatic change or overnight wins. It comes from the tiny, everyday actions that seem so small they appear irrelevant, but they compound into something extraordinary over time.

It is easy to drink a glass of water first thing in the morning, but it is also easy not to.

It is easy to write your dreams in your journal, but it is also easy not to.

It is easy to go for a ten minute walk, read a few pages of a good book, say “I love you” to someone special, or spend five minutes visualising your dream life.

It is easy to show up on Zoom each Monday in the Dream Life Coaching Program, but also very easy not to.

These things are simple, but choosing not to do them day after day also compounds, just in the opposite direction.

Jeff Olson teaches that success is not one big leap. It is the accumulation of small, positive choices made consistently, even when you do not feel like it, even when nobody is watching, and even when results are not visible yet.

Failure is simply the accumulation of small neglectful choices made consistently too. It is the book you do not read. The walk you skip. The gratitude you forget to write.

So this Monday morning, I invite you to do something powerful and simple:

Choose your easy things, and actually do them.

Ask yourself:

What is one small thing that moves me closer to my dream life?
What is one easy action I have been putting off because it feels too small to matter?

Maybe it is making your bed, journaling for five minutes, calling someone you love, drinking more water, or finally signing up for the program or book club you have been thinking about.

Whatever it is, start today. Today’s small step becomes your slight edge.
