#412 - 25 THOUGHTS, REFLECTIONS & JOURNAL PROMPTS ON 2025

Welcome back to another episode!
Today, I’m sharing something really close to my heart - a collection of 25 reflections and journaling prompts that came to me over the weekend while I was journaling, thinking, and gently reviewing the year that’s been.
I love this time of year because it gives us a natural pause… a moment to sit with our thoughts, look back with compassion, and reconnect with what matters most as we step into a new year.
In this episode, I’ll guide you through each reflection - from the power of putting pen to paper, to recognising what gives you energy, to embracing fresh starts, tiny actions, meaningful habits, and courage.
These are the exact prompts I used myself, and I hope they give you the clarity, grounding, and inspiration you may be craving right now.
Here are four takeaways you can expect from today’s episode:
✨ A clearer understanding of what truly matters to you
✨ Practical, heart-opening prompts to help you reflect & reset
✨ Tools for reconnecting with your dreams and wellbeing
✨ A gentle roadmap for stepping into a meaningful and intentional 2026
Whether you’re listening at your desk, on a walk, or curled up with a cup of tea and your journal, I hope this episode feels like a warm exhale - a moment just for you.
If you’re ready to create a year that feels aligned, intentional, and beautifully yours, press play.
There is something in this episode for you… and I can’t wait to share it.
As always, I’d LOVE to hear what resonated most with you - so please share and let’s keep the conversation going in the Dream Life Podcast Facebook Group here.

TRANSCRIPT:
Kristina: Hi there, and welcome back to another episode. Today I want to share some of my recent reflections. Over the weekend, I spent time thinking, journaling, and reviewing the year, and I ended up compiling 25 reflections, thoughts, and journaling prompts. My hope is that you can use them to do something similar - whether you're reflecting on the year that has passed or preparing to finish 2025. These are my own reflections, but perhaps they’ll serve as gentle reminders and support as you close out your year.
As always, I've paired each reflection with a journaling prompt to help you go a little deeper. I’ve also put everything into a PDF, which I'll link in the show notes. You can also go to yourdreamlifestartshere.com and visit the freebies section if you'd prefer to print it out. Or you can simply follow along with me today. So, if you’d like to join me now, grab your journal, make yourself a cup of tea or coffee, take a deep breath… and let’s begin.
1. The power of putting pen to paper.
Whenever I feel overwhelmed or stuck, writing has a magical ability to untangle everything. Clarity seems to arrive the moment ink touches the page. I do this daily, and sometimes I wonder whether it makes a difference - until I miss it. If I skip my journaling for a few days or I’m navigating something challenging, I’m reminded of just how powerful it is. One of my daily non-negotiables is morning pages - three pages of whatever comes to mind.
Prompt: What becomes clearer for me when I write things down?
2. Progress over perfection.
I say this almost every episode, but it’s worth repeating: aim for progress, not perfection. Perfection holds us back; progress sets us free. Tiny, imperfect steps are what move us forward toward our dreams, goals, and habits.
Prompt: What small step could I take today that moves me forward?
3. The joy of a fresh quarter.
A new quarter is such a beautiful reset - not too big, not too small. It gives us space to refine our dreams and goals and start again with fresh energy. Ideally, we should plan the year at the beginning of each year. I do this in January inside the Dream Life Coaching Program, and it’s a game changer. You choose your top three goals for the year and refine them quarterly. And if one quarter doesn’t go to plan, the next one is a fresh start.
Prompt: What do I want the next 90 days to feel like? Start whenever it suits you - December, January, February… whenever you're listening.
4. What you track grows.
Tracking keeps us honest and empowers us. When we see our choices in front of us, we naturally make better ones. Some things I track all the time; others I return to now and then. Even something as simple as tracking water intake makes a big difference.
Prompt: What one thing would make the biggest difference if I tracked it daily?
5. The magic of a morning ritual.
You know I adore my morning ritual. Our mornings shape our days, and our days shape our lives. Even a few intentional minutes can ground you beautifully. The key is choosing something you genuinely love. My ideal morning includes meditation, a walk in nature, journaling, reading, and coffee - a morning I can’t wait to wake up to. Start with one simple thing you enjoy.
Prompt: What’s one simple thing I could add to my mornings to feel more grounded?
6. Listening to your energy.
Your energy communicates long before your mind does. When you start noticing what gives and drains your energy, everything becomes easier.
Prompt: What gave me energy recently, and what depleted it?
7. Gratitude is a superpower.
Gratitude doesn’t just change what you see - it changes how you see everything. It opens the door to joy, presence, perspective, and possibility. I always say: the more grateful you are, the more grateful you become. And even in difficult seasons, there is always something to appreciate. If you’re struggling to find gratitude, look at what we often take for granted: our health, a home, food, water, a hot shower. These small things add up to a lot. Research also ties gratitude to longevity - another beautiful reason to start now.
Prompt: What three things am I grateful for today, and why?
8. The beauty of a dream list.
Dreams need a home. Writing them down is the first act of honouring them. When we revisit our dream lists, new ideas surface and clarity grows. Inside the Dream Life Coaching Program, you have access to my online course, and I encourage members to redo the dreaming work each year. As we change and grow, our dreams change too. Some dreams will stay with you; others evolve.
Prompt: What new dreams do I want to add to my dream list right now?
9. You can do hard things gently.
You don’t need to push or hustle your way to your dreams. You can move forward with softness, respect for your energy, and compassion for yourself. Big goals don’t have to be pursued with intensity - gentleness is powerful.
Prompt: Where can I bring more gentleness into the way I pursue my goals?
10. Every obstacle has a possible solution.
Obstacles aren’t signs to stop - they’re invitations to adjust. When you look for solutions rather than dwelling on problems, the path opens.
Prompt: What challenge am I facing, and what is one possible solution?
11. Slow down to go faster.
Clarity appears when we pause. Slowing down isn’t falling behind - it’s strengthening your foundation. In my Grow Book Club this December, we’re reading a book all about rest. When you rest, you actually accomplish more.
Prompt: Where do I need to slow down a little?
12. One habit can change everything.
A single daily habit can shift your identity and your life. Small doesn’t mean insignificant - it means sustainable. Choose a habit that gives you energy, and you’re far more likely to pursue your goals. Walking, meditating, exercising, drinking water, self-care - tiny habits, big impact.
Prompt: If I could build just one new habit in the next 31 days, what would it be?
13. Read more books.
Books have been one of my greatest teachers - in business, marketing, wellbeing, and personal development. I love that someone can share decades of knowledge in one book. I now run two book clubs - Grow and the Small Business Book Club - and they bring me so much joy. Reading in community helps us learn, reflect, and implement.
Prompt: What book am I excited to read next, and what do I hope it will teach or inspire in me?
14. The gift of community.
We are stronger when surrounded by people who understand and support us. Community reminds us we’re not alone in our dreams. That’s why I created the Dream Life Coaching Program - everyone there wants to create their dream life, whatever that looks like for them.
Prompt: Who inspires or supports me, and how can I connect with them more?
15. Your values are your compass.
When you know your values, decisions become easier and boundaries clearer. Your values point you toward your truest self. Mine changed my life once I took the time to identify and live them. Values evolve over time, so revisit them yearly.
Prompt: What value feels especially important for me this year? And what values do I want to live fully in 2026?
16. Asking for help is strength.
You’re not meant to do everything alone. Asking for help is courage. Whenever I set a new big goal, I ask myself: who has done something like this before, and who can help me?
Prompt: Where do I need support or guidance right now?
17. A wellness foundation.
Without health and wellbeing, everything becomes harder. With wellness, everything becomes possible. I follow seven pillars of wellbeing and use my wellness journal to stay on track. Start where you are - small steps compound. My goal is always to be a little healthier and fitter each year.
Prompt: Which pillar of my wellbeing needs more attention right now?
18. Give yourself permission.
Permission to rest, dream, change direction, want more, evolve. It’s your life. We spend too much time worrying about what others think - but most people are busy with their own lives, and so should we be.
Prompt: What do I want to give myself permission to do or feel in the next 12 months?
19. Big visions, tiny actions.
You don’t need big leaps to achieve big dreams - just consistent micro actions. They compound beautifully. Start small. As Zig Ziglar said, “You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.”
Prompt: What’s one tiny action I can take toward my big vision this week?
20. Life is short - make it meaningful.
Even a long life is short. Make the most of it. When we zoom out, we reconnect with what matters. Meaning is found in everyday choices.
Prompt: What would make my life feel even more meaningful right now?
21. Travel gives you perspective.
Travel opens our minds and refreshes our hearts. I feel deeply inspired when I travel - whether I’m speaking, coaching, or journaling on a plane. There are extraordinary places near and far.
Prompt: Where do I feel called to travel next, and how could that experience inspire or shift me?
22. Celebrate your wins.
Celebration builds confidence and momentum. Every tiny win is proof that you’re moving forward. I use our Daily Wins Journal to record three wins and three things I’m grateful for each night - it’s a beautiful ritual.
Prompt: What is one small win I can celebrate from this week?
23. Be your future self now.
One of the most powerful things you can do is show up as the person you want to become - today. Imagine your future self 12 months from now. How would she think, act, feel, prioritise, live? Start embodying her now. This is our focus inside the Dream Life Coaching Program in December.
Prompt: Who is my future self 12 months from now, and what is one way I can show up like her today?
24. Choose courage over comfort.
Courage doesn’t eliminate fear - it means moving forward alongside it. Dreams live outside our comfort zones. When you get used to being uncomfortable, it becomes easier. Eventually, what once felt uncomfortable becomes your new normal.
Prompt: Where is fear holding me still, and what would courage look like?
25. Your dream life starts today.
You don’t need the perfect moment - just one intentional step. Your dream life is created through your everyday choices. If you want to do this work with me in 2026, join the Dream Life Coaching Program and let’s make it your best year yet.
Prompt: What is one beautiful step I can take today toward my dream life?
Thank you for spending this time with me. I hope these reflections and prompts support, inspire, and gently guide you into a meaningful, intentional, beautiful year ahead. Let’s make 2026 your best year ever. Remember: your dream life isn’t something you wait for - it’s something you create, one thoughtful step at a time.
If you loved this episode, please share it with someone who might need inspiration today. And if you want the printable version of these prompts, you’ll find the link in the show notes or at yourdreamlifestartshere.com under the freebies section.
