Hi there, and welcome back to this week’s Monday Morning Motivation episode. Let’s begin by taking a deep breath together. Breathe in, with me.

Today’s quote is a powerful one and it has shaped many seasons of my life.

The quote is:
“Don’t be afraid to give up the good to go for the great.”

It is powerful and also a little uncomfortable, because if we are honest, most of us stay in the good far longer than we should. Good feels safe. Good feels familiar. Good does not ask too much of us. But good can also quietly hold us back from our great.

And you are great. Whatever that looks like for you.

Your great is where you feel most alive, fulfilled and purpose driven. It is where your dream life sits patiently, waiting for you to choose it.

I remember clearly the moment I realised that my good was no longer good enough. I had a good job, a good routine and a good life, but something inside me whispered, this is not it. There is something more for me.

That whisper became my 3am List. It became my first business, kikki.K, and eventually Dream Life. None of that would have happened if I had not been willing to let go of good, even when it felt scary, to create something truly great.

So today, I want to help you explore this gently for yourself.

First, notice where you may be settling for good. Ask yourself what feels fine but not exciting. What feels familiar but no longer aligned. Where do you feel a quiet nudge for something more. Awareness is always the first step. You cannot change what you are not aware of.

Second, get clear on what great looks like for you. This is where dreaming comes in. Imagine your great life. Notice how it feels in your body. Notice who you are when you are living it. Your dreams are the compass guiding you toward your great.

Third, take one small, courageous step. You do not need a big leap. You do not need to burn everything down. One small step is enough. A conversation. A boundary. A journal entry. An hour for a passion project. Small steps taken consistently create extraordinary change.

As we always say in Dream Life Coaching, progress, not perfection, brings dreams to life.

Letting go of good is not about rejecting your life. It is about honouring the version of you who knows she is meant for more.
