#424 - What to stop, start & continue in 2026

I'm genuinely so happy you're here and so excited about what 2026 can hold for you.
Today’s episode is a gentle and powerful reset.
It's about creating space, clarity and intention as we step into a brand new year - as I share one of my favourite transformational tools for dreaming and doing.
Listen in, and give yourself permission to reflect. No perfection required. Just honesty, curiosity and kindness towards yourself.
Take this time for you. Grab your journal, or simply listen and reflect. This is your life, and this year gets to be intentional.

Hi there, and welcome back to another episode of the Your Dream Life podcast. And a very happy New Year to you. I am so happy you are here, truly, and I am really excited about 2026. I hope you are too.
Wherever you are right now, whether you are walking the dog, commuting, tidying the house or curled up with a cup of tea, I would love you to take a moment with me. Let us take a breath together. A breath with intention. A reminder to be present in this moment and also to step into this new year with awareness and care.
I like to begin episodes this way because life is full. We move quickly from one thing to the next, and it is powerful to be reminded how easy it is to pause, even briefly, and come back to ourselves.
Today’s episode is a powerful one. We are exploring one of my favourite simple but transformational tools for dreaming and doing. It is the start, stop and continue exercise for 2026.
This is a beautiful exercise to do at the end of a year, and an even more powerful way to begin a new one. It allows you to step into the year feeling fresh, intentional and aligned with the life you truly want to live.
Stay with me until the end of the episode because I have something exciting to share for those of you who would love to plan your 2026 with me inside the Dream Life Coaching Program, which begins this Monday.
Before we dive in, I want you to imagine this moment as a gentle pause. A personal reset. One thing I say often, here and inside the Dream Life Coaching Program, is that dreams and goals happen one step at a time. But first, we need to give ourselves the space to reflect and to get things down on paper.
Today is about giving yourself that space. No rushing. No perfection. Just beginning.
The start, stop and continue exercise is so powerful because it brings you back to what truly matters. Your time. Your energy. Your dreams. Your future self.
It invites you to ask yourself what you want more of, what you want less of, and what you are already doing that deserves to be celebrated and continued.
Let us take these one at a time.
First, what to start in 2026.
Starting is about fresh energy. New seeds. Your next version.
Gently ask yourself, what new habits or actions will support the dreams I have for 2026. What is calling me forward. What would I start doing if I knew I could not fail.
Sometimes it is something small. A morning ritual. A weekly creative date with yourself. Writing your dreams down daily.
Sometimes it is something bold. Launching a business idea. Saying yes to a new study path. Carving out quiet time every morning before the household wakes.
Your start is an invitation into the next chapter of your life. Take a moment to reflect on what you would like to begin this year. And when you have time after listening, I encourage you to write down a few things you would love to start in 2026 that align with your top three dreams.
Second, what to stop in 2026.
This is often the hardest and most transformational part of the exercise.
You cannot keep adding more without first creating space. So ask yourself lovingly, what is no longer serving me. What habits or commitments feel heavy. What drains my energy. What old version of me am I ready to release.
Think back on 2025. What do you not want to bring with you into this fresh new year.
This might be saying yes when you mean no. Scrolling instead of resting. Doubting yourself. Overworking. Holding everything together without asking for help.
Letting go can feel uncomfortable, but it is also incredibly freeing. It creates space for who you are becoming.
Ask yourself, what do I need to stop doing to step into the best version of me in 2026.
Third, what to continue in 2026.
This part is often overlooked, but it holds so much magic.
Right now, you are already doing things that are working. Supportive routines. Acts of kindness. Creative practices. Relationships that nourish you. Small choices that ground you in a life you love.
Take a moment to acknowledge them. Celebrate them. Ask yourself what feels aligned, joyful and nourishing. What habits are helping me grow. What do I want to carry with me into 2026 because it supports my dream life so beautifully.
Continue is your reminder that you are already on your way.
This exercise is not just a planning tool. It is a yearly reset. A gentle course correction. A chance to check in before life runs away with you.
Life gets busy. Dreams can drift into the background. But when you pause at this time of year to ask what to start, stop and continue, you realign. You come back home to yourself. You remember what matters.
Now imagine doing this alongside a group of women from all around the world. Supporting each other. Realigning together. Cheering each other on. Being around like minded people is incredibly powerful.
That leads me to something I would love to invite you into.
