Hi and welcome back to your Monday Motivation episode.

I am Kristina Karlsson and I am so grateful you are here. I genuinely love Mondays.

Today, I want to talk about one of the most powerful truths we can embrace on our dream life journey, especially as we focus on habits inside our Dream Life Coaching Program this February.

The quote is this:

Motivation gets you going, but discipline keeps you going.

This quote by John C. Maxwell resonates deeply with me because motivation, while wonderful, is also unreliable. It comes and goes. It gets distracted. It sleeps in. It is emotional.

Motivation is like a spark. Discipline is what builds the fire.

If you ever struggle to stay consistent with the habits that matter most, I want you to hear this clearly. There is nothing wrong with you. You are human. Motivation drops for everyone.

Discipline, when it is gentle, self loving and consistent, is how we grow into the version of ourselves we dream of becoming.

Inside our coaching program this February, we are diving deeply into habits that support your dream life because we are what we repeatedly do. As Aristotle said, excellence is not an act but a habit.

Habits are how we build our dream life brick by brick, day by day, even when we do not feel like it.

I often share that it was not dreaming alone that built my dream life. It was dreaming and then doing consistently, even when I felt scared, tired or unsure.

Dreams do not work unless you do.

Dreaming gave me the vision. Motivation got me excited. Discipline changed my life. It built Kikki K from my tiny apartment. It carried me through setbacks and it continues to carry me as I build Dream Life with all my heart.

And it can carry you too.

So how do you implement this quote in your own life? Here are five simple, practical and achievable ways.

First, choose one habit. Not ten. Not five. One.

When we simplify, we are more likely to succeed. Commit to one habit for 31 days and ask yourself what one habit, done consistently, would move me closer to my dream life.

Second, focus on triggers and routines, not willpower.

Motivation does not create habits. Understanding your triggers does. This is not about force. It is about design.

Third, make discipline delightful.

Discipline does not need to be harsh or punishing. It can be gentle, loving and supportive. Progress matters more than perfection.

Fourth, use visual reminders of your why.

Motivation fades when we forget. Discipline strengthens when we remember why our dream life matters.

Finally, celebrate small wins.

Small progress is still progress. Celebration builds identity. Identity builds discipline.

Close your eyes for a moment and imagine your future self, the version of you who has stayed committed to this one habit for the next 90 days.

That version of you is built through gentle, loving discipline.

As you step into this new week, let motivation light the spark. Let discipline build the fire. Let your habits carry you toward your dream life, one small step at a time.

I believe in you and I am cheering you on.

If you want to go deeper on habits, join us inside the Dream Life Coaching Program this February. You will find the link in the show notes or at yourdreamlifestartshere.com.

Remember, your dream life starts with the small things you do today.
