Hi there and welcome back to the Your Dream Life podcast and today’s Monday Motivation episode.
I’m so happy you’re here with me this Monday morning, wherever you are right now. Whether you’re getting ready, sipping your coffee, or going for a walk, take one deep breath in… and let it go slowly.
Today is a fresh start. A clean page.
I want to begin with a beautiful quote:
“Every morning we are born again. What we do today matters most.”
This quote reminds us that we don’t have to carry yesterday into today. No matter what last week looked like, what didn’t go to plan, or what you said or didn’t say, today you get to begin again.
This is especially powerful as we step into a new quarter. I love thinking in quarters, like a mini year. Three months is enough time to create meaningful progress without the overwhelm of a full year.
We live in a world that tells us success is built on perfect momentum. But mindfulness teaches something different. The only moment that is real is this one.
Imagine approaching your Monday from a place of renewal instead of pressure. Instead of thinking, “I have to get back on track,” what if you thought, “I get to start fresh”?
That simple shift changes everything.
The morning is where you meet yourself before the world pulls you in different directions. When you are present in those first moments, you set the tone for the entire day.
Here are three simple tips:
First, 60-second stillness. Before you look at your phone, sit still for one minute. Close your eyes, place your hand on your heart, and breathe. This small act is incredibly powerful.
Second, set your intention out loud. Ask yourself how you want to feel today. Calm, joyful, purposeful. Name it and claim it.
Third, release yesterday on paper. Write one sentence: “I’m leaving behind…” Then finish it. Let it go.
This week, remember: you are not your worst days. You are not behind. You are not too late.
Every morning, you are born again.
