How I Manifested My Dream Life — and How You Can Too

by Kristina Karlsson

There’s something very powerful about putting pen to paper — and for me, that power changed everything as a discussed in this recent podcast episode.

I was 22, new to a country I barely knew, with no money, no direction, and no clear idea what I wanted to do with my life. One sleepless night at 3am, I found myself wide awake, overwhelmed and unsure. My partner Paul — always encouraging — suggested I write down what was important to me.

And so I did.

That night, I scribbled down my first “Dream Life List.” Nothing grand or fancy. Just a few heartfelt wishes:

  • A career I’d love driving to on Monday mornings

  • A way to stay connected with my family back in Sweden

  • A business of my own

  • And $500 a week to live and make calls home

I didn’t know it then, but that list was the beginning of everything. It led me to build kikki.K, and now Dream Life — all from that one moment of clarity.

💛 The Power of Writing Things Down

There’s magic in writing your dreams down.

It’s more than just words — it’s intention. It’s saying to yourself, “This matters.” Writing gives shape to the invisible. And the science backs it up too: studies show that you’re 42% more likely to achieve your goals if you write them down.

That’s why I always carry a journal. It’s where dreams are born. Where ideas breathe. Where clarity arrives.

✨ Manifesting Isn’t Woo-Woo — It’s About Alignment

So many people think manifesting is about sitting back and just thinking about what you want. But that’s not how it works. Manifesting is about dreaming big and aligning your actions with those dreams.

It’s about starting — even if you’re unsure how things will unfold.

🔑 My 3 Simple Steps to Start Manifesting

Here are the three steps I use, and they’ve never let me down:

1. Start with Your Heart

Ask yourself: What would I do if I knew I couldn’t fail?

Let go of the “how.” Forget the limits. Dream from your heart — not your head. Logic can wait. This is about tapping into what really lights you up.

2. Write it Down — In Detail

Grab your journal and describe your dream life as if it’s already happening. Be specific. “I’m waking up in my dream home, with sunlight pouring in, sipping my coffee and feeling calm and inspired…”

This isn’t wishful thinking — it’s vision setting.

3. Take Small Daily Steps

Manifesting your dream doesn’t require massive leaps overnight. It’s about showing up with small, intentional actions. Research something. Make a phone call. Read a book. Say no to something that isn’t aligned.

Little steps create momentum — and momentum creates magic.

🌱 What Your Dream Life Looks Like is Completely Up to You

Your dream doesn’t have to look like mine. Or anyone else’s.

For some people, it’s a business. For others, it’s more time with family, financial freedom, inner peace, health, or adventure.

The key is: it’s YOUR dream. You get to define it. You get to shape it. You get to live it.

That’s why I created Dream Life — to help you discover what truly matters to you and take inspired steps to bring it to life.

💭 Final Thoughts

The biggest thing I’ve learned is this: You don’t need to have it all figured out to start. Just begin. Start with one list. One thought. One step.

Progress, not perfection, is what brings dreams to life.

So… what’s one small step you can take today?

Light a candle. Grab your journal. And start imagining that beautiful life waiting for you.

Love,
