Why your personal experiences and lessons are more valuable than you realise.
-
How to build a simple weekly ritual to share your wisdom with others.
-
The mindset shift from “Who am I to share?” to “Why not me?”

TRANSCRIPT:
"One of the most generous things you can do is share your knowledge." - Simon Sinek.
I love this quote. We often think of generosity as giving money or time. But what about your wisdom? Your lived experience? The lessons you’ve learned—whether the hard way or with joy—can be just what someone else needs right now. That’s generosity, too. And it’s transformational.
So, let’s talk about how to live that quote. Let’s put it into action. Because that’s what a dream life is built on—small, intentional actions that make a difference.
Tip 1: Acknowledge Your Wisdom
You don’t have to be an expert to offer something valuable. You’ve lived, made mistakes, and learned. That matters. Ask yourself: “What do I know today that I wish I’d known five years ago?” That insight could change someone’s life. Don’t downplay it—your experience is a gift.
Tip 2: Share
Sharing your knowledge doesn’t have to be formal or polished. It could be a kind word to a struggling colleague, a tip on Instagram, a blog post, a podcast moment, or a book recommendation that shaped you. You don’t need all the answers—just be willing to open your heart.
Tip 3: Create a Knowledge List
This week, grab your journal and write: “10 Things I’ve Learned That Could Help Someone Else.” Anything counts—how you overcame burnout, how you meal prep as a busy mum, how you beat self-doubt, how you started your business, or your morning routine that changed your life. Then, pick one item from your list and share it. Realising what you’ve learned can be powerful.
I’ve been in business for over 30 years, and I’ve realised that just because something seems obvious to me doesn’t mean it is to someone else. When people are just starting out, they need the knowledge you’ve built up. That’s why sharing is a gift.
Tip 4: Make Sharing a Ritual
Build sharing into your weekly routine. On Sunday night or Monday morning, ask: “What did I learn last week that I could share?” Then go ahead—send a voice message, share in a meeting, write in your journal, post on social. When you make it a habit, it becomes who you are. Generosity becomes a way of life.
Tip 5: Teach What You Wish You’d Been Taught
Some of the most healing things we do are teaching others the lessons we longed for. That’s one reason I do speaking now. I’ve gained so much from speakers sharing their insights quickly and powerfully. Now, I speak to give back—leaving breadcrumbs for others starting out.
Ask yourself: “What do I wish someone had told me?” Then go be that someone.
Your Challenge This Week:
Share one piece of wisdom, one insight, and one generous act of knowledge. Your journey, your lessons—they matter. Someone out there needs exactly what you know.
Your dream life isn’t just about what you achieve. It’s about how you show up for others along the way. Let’s step into the week generously, wisely, and boldly. And instead of asking, “Who am I to share?” try asking, “Why not me?”
If you want to go deeper, August’s theme in the Dream Life Coaching Program is Share Your Light. We’ll explore your unique gifts and how you can share them—whether it’s through your community, a podcast, a blog, or even writing a book. Don’t let those ideas intimidate you. In the Dream Life community, we start small. You don’t have to be great to start—but you have to start to be great.
