Some years ago, I found myself restless and I had no idea what to do with my life. I was constantly searching, complaining and uncertain what to do.
One night, around 3 am, I woke up my partner Paul and asked, ‘what am I going to do with my life?’ Paul turned on the light patiently and suggested, ‘why don’t we write down what’s important to you?’ I took a piece of paper and a pen and started to write down anything I could think of that was important to me at that time. The list grew. My excitement grew.
My restlessness started to fade and give way to excitement. From that list of many ideas I whittled it down to the the list that to this day I still call my ‘3 am list’.
It was the first time I’d ever written dreams on paper and I can’t tell you how powerful it made me feel that night.
